As we approach the final two months of 2020, a bit of reflecting might seem mandatory after such a hectic year. The arrival of a new year is an essential time to set resolutions- yet you should equally utilize this time to accept the highs & lows of the previous year. For the next ten weeks, I challenge you to a soul searching mission with these journal prompts.

handwritten version of my journal challenge

November 1st: This year I lost/found...

What relationships, valuable possessions, and/or habits did you release or fall in love with this past year?

November 8th: The person (people) who ultimately disappointed me in 2020...

Who showed you one of their hidden faces this year? What was or is your plan of forgiveness?

November 15th: The person (people) who showed me the greatest support...

Recognize who genuinely was rooting for you the past 12 months.

November 22nd: In 2020, my biggest challenge/achievement was...

How did you overcome your biggest obstacle? Did this lead to you fulfilling a long-time manifestation or goal?

November 29th: My song(s), show(s), book(s) of 2020...

Ponder on what brought you joy this year, you may learn a great deal about how your entertainment preferences affect your year.

December 6th: This year, the coping mechanisms I found comfort in...

When encountering stress, anger, fear, or a global pandemic- did you resort to healthy or unhealthy comfort methods?

December 13th: The month where I was most content...

Reminisce about the single month where you felt most content. Was life peaceful, exhilarating, or simply stable?

December 20th: Next year, my mantra is...

What quote or word will set the scene for your 2021?

December 27th: Dear December 2021 (your name)...

Write a letter to future you, who will read this letter a year from the present date. Touch upon who you envision yourself to be, the successes you look forward to obtaining, & the qualities you desire to possess.

I hope you all join me in this ten week reflection challenge. If you're as sentimental as I am, I recommend preserving these journal passages to read back on in the upcoming years. Self-reflect & journal on!

wishing all your soul-search endeavors promote growth,

KIY
